Fresh Lavender Grapefruit Sugar Scrub

Well this is happening.  I am finally doing it.  You know when you have a goal and you put it off and put it off because heck maybe your scared as s*#@! Well that was me, well is me but here we are.  I am ready to take this on and meet some cool people and have some fun, so welcome!!

I have a lot of interests and hobbies that I will showcase here, and I will attempt DIY projects, so I can get my craft on.

In the past few years I have been able to help stage homes here and there (lucky right! ….I know) which is such a fun and awesome way to show my creativity.  Other ways I get creative are cake decorating, gift giving and planning a great party.  I am inspired by several types of styles, some that use a lot of color and others that take a simpler approach.

Natural products have become more important to me in the last couple of years.  I have been testing out various deodorants, lotions, face masks, skin care products, toothpastes and the list goes on.  While its been fun trying to find better alternatives for the day to day products that I enjoy using it does get costly finding the right ones and, so I like to create my own from time to time.

For a nice & easy body scrub that smells amazing and uses ingredients that you can find in your cupboard try my recipe.

Fresh Lavender Grapefruit Sugar Scrub

grapefruits

  • ½ cup of sugar of your choice
  • ¼ cup of fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
  • 1 tablespoon of liquid coconut oil
  • 2 drops of your favorite lavender essential oil

Mix these ingredients together and you have a nice little treat for your skin.  My hubby was my guinea pig for this scrub and he was impressed with how smooth his skin felt afterwards.  This scrub smells good enough to eat but I wouldn’t recommend it. 😊

If you give this recipe a try, please leave a comment letting me know how it turned out or try putting your own spin on it.

Stay sassy friends

K
